JIS SUS309S Stainless Steel Pipe is a free-cutting stainless steel containing sulphur and is used mainly where a high degree of free-cutting and surface finish is required. The low carbon content minimises the precipitation of carbides in the heat affected zone close to the weld seam, which can lead to intergranular corrosion (weld erosion) of the stainless steel in certain environments.
