SS 405 Platess have properties such as reduced corrosion resistance. However, this grade of SS 405 Plates is nonhardenable and thus used in the welded condition. But, by heat treatment, its corrosion resistance properties can be improved.

WELDABILITY
Can be welded using shielded fusion and resistance techniques
Oxyacetylene SS 405 Plates is not recommended
Post weld annealing will maximize ductility
